August in Montana

The kids and I went to Montana for my cousin's wedding and stayed for a few weeks. As always, we had a blast. We spent some time at Grandpa Lyn and Grandma Janet's new house. This is a familiar "Ascha-look," but not one we often capture on camera.

Here's her "cheese":

Grandma and Grandpa have a beautiful grassy field just south of their house

They were readying their place for landscaping while we were there, which made for lots of fun playing in the dirt

Of course, we loved playing with Whiff, too!

We stayed with Grammy and Grumpy, who cheerfully put up with us. The kids had tons of fun playing in the yard, at the river, and at the lake.

Can you tell Grumpy is a big proponent of physical play? :-)

"Helping" in the garden

Playing in the sprinkler, just like Mommy did when she was little

"Brotherly love"

This is my parents' cat, after being treed by Jeremy's parents' dog. He chose a comfy perch, don't you think? (it's a bird's nest!)

We went down and played on the Bitterroot River one afternoon with an aunt, an uncle, and a cousin
...oh, yeah. AND lots of crawdads :-) Great company and a fun day!

Another playdate with a cousin...this time at Great Gramma and Great Papa's

We visited the carousel in Missoula...the boys are almost big enough to catch the rings

Of course, we had to go to the lake. Here's Ascha's first tubing experience. She loved it...she went 5 mph in a straight line with Mommy and Uncle Shane right there to keep her safe :-)
Isn't she brave?

Tay enjoyed tubing...

...and so did Aric.

As always, we had a wonderful stay in Montana and made many great memories with our beloved family and friends.
